2 week program in Havana, Cuba: September 22th - October 6th, 2025

ISSEM 2025

Some of the courses will take place in the Faculty of Economics of la Universidad de la Habana and some in the Hotel Habana Libre. Both are located in Vedado and in walking distance from each other.

There is no participation fee. But there are cost of 150€ for our social program and Visa Service. 

Students should also anticipate the following costs:

- flight (~600 - 900 €)
- accommodation (~ 25 €/ night; to reduce costs rooms can usually be shared)
- cost for food, drinks, trafic and souvenirs (~250 - 600 €)
- tourist card (22€)
- international health insurance (15€) 

We appreciate applications from students from all over the world. The ISSEM is not an internal summer school of the Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin. The ISSEM is not restricted to certain minor or mayor degrees. Explain in your letter of motivation why it is important for you personally to take part in ISSEM - for you personally and for your carreer.

Once admission has started, we will open a messenger (last year whatsApp) group 'ISSEM 202X', as well as the 'moodle course' ISSEM202X, where all participants (not only HU students) can register and get in touch with each other.
