Business Process Management (BPM) is a management concept that addresses the question of how work should be performed in an organization in order to ensure consistent outputs and to take advantage of improvement opportunities. This course will provide an introduction into business process management and its connection to IT strategy. It will cover the different phases of the BPM lifecycle, from process identification to process monitoring, covering along the way process modelling, analysis, redesign, and automation. The course includes a number of hands-on exercises to give the students the opportunity to apply the introduced concepts and methods themselves.
