Jan Hansen currently works as research assistant at the Institute of Operations Research at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, where he earned his degree in Economics (Dipl.-Volksw.) in 2000. His main fields of interest are development economics, trade and information economics.

He is head project manager of the ISSEM and the ICEM and project leader of the new UHHU project in Havana.
